Agreed, I don't get the snobbery around such bikes and "suicide" levers? For the right bike they do a fine job. And in fear of being called a heretic I have a steel claude butler I intend to put suicide levers on!!I'd ride it for £50. I started out with steel rims and dual levers, you adapt. Perception and taste vary.
Your bike, run as you wish. I've never understood criticizing another riders set up as we're all weird and wonderful shapes.Agreed, I don't get the snobbery around such bikes and "suicide" levers? Agreed, it'd serve a purpose just fine. Same score here, Raleigh Winner. I hated it at the time and wanted an ATB/MTB but I'd own another for nostalgia sakes & that's more than I can say about my first "mountain bike" (which came sporting alloy rims and 18 whole gears!) a Townsend Mt. Tobin. Swiftly got nicknamed "Mount To Bin" did that one. So there must be something to say for steelies and suicides, or maybe me & GIGFY are just masochists?I'd ride it for £50.
