LOOKING TO UPGRADE 1x7 SRAM XD SETUP TO 1X10 ?

Hey guys/gals

So I got a lovely downhill bike at an absolute steal last week that came with a 1x7 sram xd setup... I bike quite a distance on the flats to spots so this isnt going to cut it at all.. Considering I got the bike for cheap id like to keep it lowkey on the expenditures... Its actually a pricey setup, X01 dh 7 speed derailuer with matching 7 speed shifter..
This is obviously all a 7 speed specific sram setup, Anybody any ideas what would be a nice cheap move to a 1x10 or even 11 .. Whatever really the more gears the better.. I dont mind a downgrade in terms of quality.. The bike owes me nothing really and although I will use it for some bashing, I definately dont need an expensive sram derailuer and associated bits.. I know the XD is the upper line of sram stuff, but maybe theres somthing from aliexpress or you know.. ;)

Cheers guys..

Heres whats on it !!

what do you think going to 10 or 11 is going to gain you? you'll still have the same 11 tooth (or is it a 9 on this) smaller spocket, yes you could maybe go to a bigger inner, but you are already at 1.5 ratio, so unless you've got some massive hills (which you've already said you dont) then it's not going to win you anything. all you are going to get is more options between the extremes.

I do have hills just the majority of it is flat.. Also I dont have any shuttle service at the park so Id have to bike up..
Also I dont mind changing the ring up front..

1x10 X0 works well. More range and/or less gappy. I have a Shimano 11-34 cassette and a 34T narrow wide at the front. It's plenty of gearing for on road and plenty of bail-out gearing for off road. I have the same 11-34 setup on a 9-speed and it's gappy - you can feel yourself needing the gear in between the one you're in and I don't get that on the 10-speed. I've also used a 10-speed X7 set. It's a lot cheaper than X0 and it works just fine, but it does feel very sloppy in comparison.

Cool.. TBH im not that familiar with sram casettes.. My other bike is Microslpine...
What is compatible with the freehub I have ? Does sram have it on lockdown to themselves only ?
Im aware ill need a shifter, derailuer, chain and probably new chainring.. Basically everything I guess which sucks..
