Looking for a 24mm seat post for Peugeot 1980's road bike!

Hi,

My commuter bike is an old Peugeot Carbolite road bike frame ( at least I think that's what it is ) from I'm guessing late 1980's with newer components, wheels etc. It looks pretty nice apart from the seat post which is rusted up and I've been told it's nearly impossible to find the same seat post these days so thought I'd ask on here. Had it measured in the shop and it's 24mm. Anyone know where I might find one?

You could find a 25.0 and turn it, though it would have to be a rather thick post so that the strength is not compromised...

This came up a few months ago, not sure ho that one was sorted.

Thanks and yeah I was going to resort to that but then I found a 24mm post on Ebay. Just hope it fits! I guess it should though?!
