Looking 4 history of Off Road 552 or the company in general

What a useful guide, ive never tried to strip and overhaul forks and may mess up. Do most parts need to be replaced when fixing them? Is there a quick fix I can do to get them working again. The forks go down but don't come back up, you have to pull them up. Any ideas?

Re:

Air is the spring, you lack the spring.... Pump them up as per the manual. ~40PSI as a starting position.
Then a few psi either side to find you prefered spot.

I have checked underneath and no valve and have screwed the top cap off and there is no valve there too. I'm sure they are oil operated. Any suggestions?

Re:

They are p, oil is not a spring as it doesn't compress very well. They are classed as an air/oil fork.

Oil provides the lubrication of all the parts at the same time as providing the the damping on compression and rebound as it passes through various valves and ports.

I'm sorry for the delay in replying, for some reason I wasn't notified that I had a response.

Thanks for the reply, so is the valve is located under the top cap and I can pump using a football pump?

I have uploaded a few pictures of how my bike looks now. Have recently fitted new handlebar grips, white cables and tyres.

James.
