L'eroica 2015 - prices doubled!

I'm awaiting a phone call tomorrow to decide yea or nay, regardless of participant costs it is very shortsighted to have created a festival entrance fee, I heard many positive comments from visitors and importantly locals that it was so good that they could join in for free giving the place a real local atmosphere, they really upset a number of independent traders last year and the showers and bogs where horrendous. I put up with the diesel lighting rigs going for most of the night but they're going to have to have really sorted it to be a continuos success, dunno this time.

Luckily I only live round the corner, so I don't need to camp.....or pay for parking!
!

Would you like a lodger with a Bob Jackson for a few days?

I wonder how many tents I could accommodate on the lawn too! ;)

Have saved myself some money, and gained some comfort by booking the ride separately but camping for 3 nights at a well-equipped local campsite with some proper facilities. Works out cheaper than using the bumpy field and cold water porta-showers at the show ground.

Quickly done the maths, I'm going to have a crack at getting entry to the original, it ain't much more if I go by train and doss somewhere

No chance from me at those prices. Probably plan my own heroic route round the Scottish Borders for the same weekend with a few pub food stops and have a 1 man festival ;)

Now that does look good! Thanks for posting, I'd never heard of it before.

Me too  There should be local rides like this event and I don't mean shitty sportive's.
