Arent these lego technic nothing more than just a jigsaw,where all the different parts are pre-made so it can only assemble one way to make one model ?.
This is why i prefer lego blocks and meccano,there are no plans included

no, they can be made into multiple incarnations in most cases.
Plus its harder to fit hydraulic systems and working engines into the standard lego blocks.
