Late 80s Lugless Peugeot id.

Hi, I have a restored Peugeot frame I'm trying to id. its a 1989 frame, lugless light and seatpost size is 26.6mm. I was told its a 501SL from the seller but I cant find any reference to a 501 frame with a seatpost diameter 26.6? Has Simplex dropouts to, any help with this would be great. Thanks.

Its just that I have never heard of 501SL that I plumped for Carbolite ....

With a seatpost diameter of 26.6 you are looking at French dimensioned quality tubing so 501 is reasonable. Typically, Peugeot framesets built lugless in 501 carried forged Simplex dropouts with adjusters. Cycling magazine on Jan. 30, 1986 had an extensive insert on Peugeot and showed the Team star 501 and Tri-Star as lugless 501 built frames with chromed forks. One of those perhaps?
