Now we're talking. Did you get confirmation? It looks promising.
A few messages have been sent but nothing back at the moment but i'm still convinced it's his championship winning bike.
It's only when you have the straight out the shop Explosif and his bike together where you see the difference between them.
If you only seen his and not a normal one you'd think it was a standard bike but! and here's some photos to show some differences.
First up the faded green colour is not the same and the fade goes further than the standard bike, the shop bike is a darker green.
Seatstays are interesting aswell, there's no rack mounts at the top and it's been fillet brazed, possibly a repair!!
The forks are a different colour to the frame where a normal one matches colour wise and obviously have the langsett stickers which his bike had.
The plot thickens the more i compare the two bikes but i'm going with my gut feeling what i had straight away and it's his race bike, but only the goat can confirm it though i suppose. At the moment though due to space its up in the cave but when i get time i'll get the two together and do a thourogh check.
Also when i was on his Instagram he's done a short video about a World Cup race in France i think. And he's telling the story of the Marzocchi people telling him to use suspension forks but he was to stubborn to switch from rigid because he'd won all year with them. And ended up crashing in practice and getting injured and couldn't do the race, so this bike may have possibly done a World Cup event aswell as the British championship.
It's all ifs and buts at the minute though.
The photos with bikes in the background is his bike and the others is the shop bike for reference.
