After a 12 year search finally managed to get my hands on this unicorn.

Yes, they made one of these.
Will post some close ups of the dropouts.
The story is that this bike was raffled after a bikeshow by kona, it has been for sale in 2008 and popped up in 2012 on mtbr.
A few months ago it popped up on fb and i reached out to the owner and he was happy to sell it to me after i told him that i was searching for this bike last 12 years

Nope, serial number is B18607 so its basically a 97 heihei

With regards to the date of this frame, I didn't know where it would be appropriate to enter it on the Kona Titanium Serial Number List.

The discussion of dating any frame from the Kona Custom Program could be somewhat involved, and I have given this a lot of thought. I am very keen to explain my view, but perhaps we should avoid doing that on this particular thread.

Anyway, I believe that have come up with the best compromise:
