I had the same thought about the P2 legs, and one is not as cool as the other. So there, that's why it's a solid idea!Do you see the irony in letting a good P2 go to waste in order to give life to an arguably worse fork?

Yes but it's a Track Two

Those fork legs are so simple, it would be easy enough to make a replacement pair using the original dropouts and brake posts and some fresh 4130 tubing that would bolt into that crown.
The bike might lean to one side a bit then but i could live with that, it's a sacrifice to pay to save the Track Two's
I've been watching Paul Brodies channel he's always cutting tubes and putting inserts in them, you could cut them and do that

At it's crudest, find an old boy with an engineers lathe and make an internal sleeve that you can wallop into place to reinforce where the bend/deformation is. Prior to that you could use Paul Brodie's trick (amongst others!) to re-shape the leg to reduce the deformation...
