Yes I'm thinking pre 93 as my saddle on 93 Cindercone was totally different and no studs at back of seat.Is there a date stamp on the underneath? It'll be 1993 and before by the looks of the font type.
Yes..I've scrolled back through old brochures and nothing that matches this with the rivets!?I've never seen one like this. It looks early from the front end and overall shape, so circa 1989-92. But the rivets and Italian name/brand are alien to me. As far as I know Kona saddles didn't come out of the factory this way, at least on the standard production models. I wonder if it's been remodeled at some point.
That was me that commented on Facebook . It was on page 148 and 149 of the Kona's Page thread..Yes..I've scrolled back through old brochures and nothing that matches this with the rivets!?
Someone has commented on Facebook (I'll attach screenshot) which is interesting, however I can't find that thread on here.View attachment 899493
Ha ha ..I kind of thought this would go full circle and you would pop up againThat was me that commented on Facebook . It was on page 148 and 149 of the Kona's Page thread..
Yeah, that's why I believe yours is from a French market 1991 rather than the 1990 depicted, as that's when Kona started branding the Avocet's and moved to the more eliptical fontHa ha ..I kind of thought this would go full circle and you would pop up again
Yes that Saddle in image's is the same design and make of mine, however my one is lucky enough to have the Kona writing on.
These aren't decals either... actually embossed/printed onto the leather.
Right now I'm very happy to have something which seems quite rare ha ha.... Although I'd rather own a "93" Hei Hei
