How can you date it from the serial number on the TET ones, always wondered?

For this specific period there's no specific science, not yet anyway. A combination of using what we know and what we have on record. At the moment, the list indicates the switch happened between #1713 and #1882.

Fun fact, we only have 1 confirmed 1995 Hot, the said #1882, before the switch to Altitude in 1996. There's a story there waiting to be uncovered...

thanks! pretty excited about it. came with some nice stuff too; Judy XC and a P2 fork, Topline crank, Pulstar hubs with Mavic 231 rims, XTR m950 RD and XT m739 FD. also picked up an XTR m950 wheel-set with it and a mint KORE stem. will need to source a full cockpit or snag it off another bike of mine ;)
