Kona Hot Serial Number List - update 30/10/24

That is amazing! I've got some pretty cool Kona's but a Rasta flame bike is still a dream, and there's two of them!

The S/N indicates that it was made in Jan '98 which, judging by the list, puts it in between the two batches of Enigma frames from '97 and '98. I wonder if that backs up the thought that it was a demo frame?

A custom-paint Haole and a steel Caldera is pretty darn special!💯

Taking an 853 Explosif frame and then painting and stickering it up as a demo Hot wouldn't seem out of character. Would be very interesting to know the actual story behind it👌

Ok to redeem myself, I think I've unearthed TeT 725-19"- triangle cutout, fluted down tube, Colour: indescribable - it's gussied up as a Rock Lobster for some reason, and missing all other stickers so I'm not sure if it's been repainted too. It's not mine, and these aren't my pictures,
maybe one day it'll be mine.
Does anyone know if Tom Teesdale used the same S/N format for all frames he built for different bike manufacturers? I don't know anything about Rock Lobsters, but stumbled across a TET-built Surly frame with a similar serial format:

I believe they did for the most part, I think the jury is still out whether all his builds are sequential, meaning he stamped as he made them regardless of the brand they were being delivered to.. ie a Brave Warrior might be TeT 609, a Yakota TeT 610, and a Kona TeT 611 as an example.

I’m not sure of all the brands TeT did work for, and I also don’t know anything about Rock Lobster (I hate the song with a passion, so I’ve avoided the brand). In my searches there’s no mention of a TeT rock lobster, nor any mention of them using Tange ultrastrong fluted tubing.
