Not sure. I'll always thought it was a 1994 model.

We need the experts here. I thought 91 indicated 90/91, but 917 might also mean 96 especially since it's not got the dual routed top tube. I'm not convinced the decals are original either but again, we need the experts!

1996 with the non-kona geometry. Check the length of the seat tube extension above the top tube. Dead giveaway.

For sure I'm no expert ; but I have learned : Hei Hei serial numbers aren't year-specific but rather just a sequenced thing . B = Sandvik built ; then its 19 to indicate 19" ( or 20 for 20" and so on ) and then the actual .. er build number I guess you could say. Do agree with haggis that it looks like a '96. Lovely frame ; GLWS
