Koga miyata info pls.

ive been reading up about those shimano ax/ex dyna drive cranks.
the pedal spindle is 15mm higher than normal thus the foot is lower.
i always wondered why some cranks have large diameter holes at pedal end !
the concept is less drag and lower centre of gravity of the rider.
but does that mean there would be less ground clearance to the pedal ?

No, your foot is lowered to sit at he rotational point, by having bearings right at and in the crank. The long axle where the foot sits above in a normal pedal is removed in this way. There might even be some more clearance compared to a regular pedal, because it's relatively sleek.

These catalogue pictures (especially the central one) might explain it somewhat better:

yes thank you ata that makes perfect sense! i did wonder if it had a thinner pedal too
and thank you for your input.

This early 80s ProRacer has a size 58DD frame. In reality the seattube is a little over 56cm long. The length of the cockpit is of a conventional frame.

pretty tidy and nice shade of blue.also to the toe straps.selle san marco concor saddle ??
was the dd58 marked on the frame ,thats the first time ive heard it used.
mine has a tiny sticker inside bottom of seat tube 56cm which is c-tt

shimano 600 ax groupset,no pedals but aero mount shifter's no h bars [sold elsewhere]...but for an amazingly low £55 asking price !
along with the ax crank info ive read about are references to insert converter's to run ordinary pedals
what equipment is on this one elev12k ? and tube set also please
i have seen that style brake hood on a peugoet triathlon here recently[white]

The decal near the shifters says '58' and 'full power drive'. Under de brake one can read '58DD'. I also have a 60DD of the same model. Pictured ProRacer is bar tires and tape original spec: Dura-Ace EX, Concor, SR cockpit and post, Mavic, Hoshi... The straps are DA AX. The frame uses Tange Champion 2 for the front triangle. The earlier orange ProRacers had Champion 2 for full frame. That was before the two FullPros arrived and the ProRacer only had the ProLuxe sitting above it.

FullPro: full Champion 2
FullPro-L and ProLuxe: full Champion 1

thank you, i just dont quite get the sizing ? is the 58 dd a reference to the seat tube being c-tt
or is it a reference to another tube on the frame ? is the 'a little over 56 ' st ctc or c-tt ?
or is 58 nothing to do with the sizing.

The 58DD is like a regular 58cm seattube frame for 58cm people, but the geometry has been adapted for use with Dyna Drive pedals. Hence the seattube is 1.7cm shorter, about as much as your feet are positioned lower on the pedals. Center shell to top seattube.

i gotcha now cheers, ive always wondered about koga's tube sets and do not know
if anyone has done comparisons of' ride feel' with reynolds tubing
i would guess that tange champion 2 could be like 753 ?
elev12k would you be in a position to do this ?
