Re:

Hi oonaff
Mine is a '78 but the parts are a incredible mix of everything you could imagine.
Rear mech is a 600 EX, front a Suntour VX, Cranks are 600 EX, brakes are Campagnolo, Suntour Superbe brake levers, very nice EDCO headset, Dura Ace shift levers, Suzue hubs whith Sunshine QR's, Super Champion rims, ITM bar and some Italian pedals. Saddle is also some Italian make I do not remember (not a Selle Italia, Selle San Marco or Selle Royal). It is a black suede one. Stem and seatpost I do not remember either.
Pictures are difficult to get as it is stored away until I have time to start with the restoration.
Really have no idea what to do with such a motley array of parts.

I'll get some more pics up soon.im a bit if a forum novice.and what is a panto'd s stay?or any other type of s stay?
hi pantograph is a term used for an engraved effect, some writing or a symbol or both.
i say effect cause i am not sure if all of these were machined in after casting.
these as well as nice details can be important factor's in frame identification.
i like them and some bikes even have some of the components panto'd as well as the frame.

thanks for the clear up eleven12k.... tange tubing rather than miyata

sounds like the saddle is right, edco h sets i really like too.for some reason i think the wheels might
be right.i probably would'nt change anything maybe bars, brakes, pedals[to jap] would be enough for
me.this is it really,do you splash and do your best for every bike or consider where it was in the pecking order namely no6 and the full pro would be IT for a koga miyata racer enthusiast.
and if 'vintage steel cycles' could spin a road racer'81 for £800[im guessing cause they wont tell me what they sold it for] i would think a full pro buffed up with a studio shot could be equal to that.

It is an early 80s FullPro. Tange Champion 2 for the full frame. The frame has a Full Power Drive decal on the downtube. It is designed for use with Dyna Drive pedals. The parts specs are not the original specs.
thanks alot :D

nice one elev12k the seat cluster does look the same and i like the pantographing.here is my 'road racer'82?
im not looking forward to re painting the stays after i have got them re chromed so i might take some
advice from here and see if chris marshall can help.the frame is not fully chromed and they
have used a white base coat under pearlescent orange.

I doubt whether it easy to achieve that pearlescent effect nowadays. The paint shops overhere aren't able to offer paint with the same durability as the old Miyata coating.

i personally would like to see a full blown pure'sh restoration durace everything.the frame is worthy.
koga team issue with tdf wins and probably did well in the classics.m that would be nice with a blue panto'd dura ace stem
let us explore one issue, the wheels.i would go for dura ace hubs period correct. could you sell the existing hubs and keep the rims if they are worth it? or sell the wheels whole.do you go for team issue rims or clincher's which might have been original spec ?gum wall clinchers with a blue band like vittoria techno tt would look good.
at the end of the day,if the bike is to have moneys spent with a view to selling, could MORE profit be gained after costs
doing a full on mouth watering restoration or is 'dirt terpedo's' suggestion with a meticulous clean
and polish and new tubs the way ?

kevin the gerbil[vintage steel bikes'..history of sales unfortunately they dont say what they sold for]
