I remember it like it was yesterday, the first time I saw a Klein MC1 Attitude. Summer of 89 or 90, big Triathlon in Chicago, day before the race at one of the expos. Pro triathlete Jimmy Riccitello (future founder of the Xterra MTB triathlon series) rolls up on a Sunburst Orange MC1 Attitude. Honestly could not believe how huge (at the time) the top, down and head tubes were, the one piece MC1 and the Paint! Tattooed me for life. Mountain Biking was extra cool in my mind from that point on. Never ever could have afforded something that expensive back in the day. So with that said- The Klein Attitude MC1 has always been something I have collected. I have three really nice ones now that I have purchased over the years. No build threads but wanted to share some pics and I am considering entering one or two in the BOTM at some point.
I know you purests are going to comment about the tires. I get it, not original, but for me these tires help create that Fat look that has always been in my memory. I run a Surly chain tensioner and it gives me plenty of room to use these wide tires.
