I replaced mine on my 2000 Mantra Comp with the Igus bushes as spec'd above. The original bushes in my Mantra were not the metal bushes shown above - mine were contiguous metal (no split) and as light as the new Igus replacements. The end result is positive - I am confident in the new bushes & the pivot, but I did suffer some regret since the original bushes were still in VG condition and I didn't lose any weight by switching to the polymer bushes. I chocked it up to preventative maintenance (FWIW), but I violated the 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' principle. Oh well, the bike is riding great.
