I've never bought a frame in from the US, but does that seem expensive?

The front end is much older than the rear triangle... (backend is off a Y2k carbon like Gil_M's single speed, front looks pre-'97). And the shock needs to be longer to get the angles correct...

Yep that'd fix it. And you'll have a bike made up of three dissimilar bikes, from a bloke who is telling porkies to flog a bunch of spare parts..
