Depends what kind of Klein-head you are talking about. One who likes the geometry and ride characteristics would see that as an excellent daily ride. Of course, the other kind would thumb their nose at anything post Trek take over, pre-factory move, regardless of whether it was made by exactly the same craftsmen, using exactly the same materials...

Post Trek pre-move Kleins are often bargains, and the later ones seem to be all over the place price wise.

To the OP, as to missing by 20, how do you know what the winning bidder bid? they may well have bid 100's more, so you didn't miss by 20, you just didn't win.
