Very cool, and to have it and still ride it after all these years, epic

Nothing better than an original owner retrobike still being put through its paces

Re:

Quick update, after working on it after work Thursday evening until half one, putting 12 hours into it Friday afternoon into the night and another 12 hours Saturday I got it ready for the Klein UK meet that was on the Sunday morning. Had a mix of problems, changed the BB 3 times, had a seized chain ring bolt, sticky shifter, all parts needed a proper clean and service plus the fact I like to get things as right as possible  it was never going to be a quick job!

It's looking good though, I'm really pleased with it, once I've dusted it off from Sunday's ride I will get some pics up and a little more detail on the changes, not too many changes but the black parts lift the Backfire colours for sure

Re:

I am in a position to buy a 1993 Sky aqua? Klein attitude. It has been stripped and updated with newer components (including deore drivetrain... why?) $250 cash. Is the frame worth that? Thats all I would keep on it. It does not have the awesome stock stem. Thanks to those inKlein'd to offer feedback.

Re:

Pics at last!

So basically added a black Topline crank, XT pedals with normal black cages along with black Specialized toeclips, black wall Ground Controls, fresh Flite and Syncros post plus a Salsa Rasta QR to match the wheel ones. Some black Ritchey hex foam grips, black cable outlers and some NOS XTR pads. New cable liners and cables, think that's about it.

 the paint looks in amazing condition.

I know you've lined the seat qr with the wheel ones but i think it would look cleaner with the lever out the way, it would annoy the hell out of me as it would keep getting caught on my shorts

Re:

I'm still riding in retro Lycra so not an issue!

But of course I know what you mean, my modern baggy type ones would although the lever does sweep in a fair bit so might get away with it. My baggy shorts used to catch on the Ringle qr all the time when in that similar position, probably why I stopped wearing them.
