Klein Adroit 95 budget build, finished p15

I'm not usually a fan of Klein, but this has properly turned my head - even with the comedy "never skipped leg day" forks.

In a sea of mental paint and rasta builds, its a classy paint-job with understated but high end parts. I love Onza HO's (even if made of cheese, and in that respect perhaps the perfect stablemate to a Klein frame).

While I like the red levers, the colour match isn't quite right and can't help thinking something with a black body and silver blade would fit a bit better - but thats nitpicking and its your bike not mine!

Can't wait to see this come to a BOTM as it'll have to be a strong contender.

Yes, it's not done up, it's a classy build that is robust, with in my opinion high end components, but not offensively flashy like other kleins. It has the look of a rider.

I agree with your point about the levers but I also don't mind them as it is such a small part of the build. I shy away from colour correction myself for this very reason, I've often settled for a colour I thought matched only to fecking hate it after a few rides, looking at it over and over again.

But I also like that it isn't a perfect match because it makes klein purists feel that irritating eye twitch.

Thank you both for the encouraging replies. Once the front brake is fitted I’ll weigh the bike. Please remember I paid no attention to the weight of components during the build. I used what I had, bought what I liked (within my limited budget) and built it to ride. Not hang from a couple of threads attached to the wall 😂.

This is my next build, just picked it up today.View attachment 661121View attachment 66112295 20” Adroit in Desert paint. I have some parts for the build already, but will need to save up some pennies to acquire the missing parts. This like my other bikes will be a rider, I do still want it to be a head turner though. Not sure which direction to go in with this as yet, but I’ll figure it out once I have a look through the spares collection. Hope you guys like it, I know there are a few Klein haters about lol.
Front brake done 😁. View attachment 671077

Bike tips the scales at…….. 9.6kg 😁. More pics will follow when it’s dry and light outside. Pedals are in the post so I’m very nearly done! And well within budget.

Many thanks to @Canuckbiker the Onza parts arrived today. Super fast post all the way from Canada 😁. Looks like I’ll be finishing the front brake tonight. Standby for a pictures.
@Imlach thats funny! Are you part Scottish? Or just wish you were? Like everyone else 😂. No need to worry, I’ll get the Klein dirty. Just not on the first ride. It will just be finished! I don’t want to start taking it apart again. At least not for a little while. I need to focus my time on the other bikes I’m planning on selling.
My pleasure John! What a coincidence for me to have the small bits you needed sitting on a shelf presumably never to be used. Glad they arrived so quickly. Really like the way the HOs look, hope they function as well 👍

The bike is looking fantastic, love the understated build as well, I’m going for a similar approach with mine

looking forward to some full finished build pics!

Great work my man!

Really good job with this, and I love seeing budget builds pulled off where you'd have no idea pennies were pinched just by looking at it.

Congrats!

We do need to talk about that ridiculous saddle angle tho... ;)
