KK, Ku & Hot frame weights

Can anyone explain how a Ti, Alloy and steel frame can all weigh the same?

Surely the Hot would be the heaviest?

I'll defer to the experts on these threads, but I'm pretty sure the weights cited in the catalogue were approximate or theoretical. For one thing, they would change according to size. Perhaps what Kona was going for was a focus on the different ride qualities of each material, rather than the out-and-out weight.

I am sceptical of 3.3lb for the HOT - that's less than 1.5kg which would be insanely light for a steel frame.
