KILLER SONGS - what is yours??????????

Morning all,

I have had a long week or two and we had a family wedding and, as with these events, some people were not there (like my Dad). I am not being morbid but some music really affects me and i think that, perhaps, that is a good thing as it releases some emotion - sometimes privately. If anyone wishes to share this - please do. One song (limit is three) would be good. No explanations are required.

These songs all mean a lot to me for different reasons and they make me sad and happy at the same time - hard to explain. I have many more but i like a lot of music and i have picked these as i have listened to them tonight as it is probably the last time i will ever see my Aunt as she is heading home.

Spirits Having Flown because it reminds me of some good times in my life and because it's such a wonderfully constructed song. I could never play it (or even listen to it) without really feeling that change from verse to chorus (A/Dm/Gm7), it pushes on and lifts you up, it's emotional stuff.(at about 1.23) Yes, some very, very good times that we can never have back.

Gate 21 by Serj Tankian because It's such a beautiful song, and the live version is astonishing.
