how do you find the Umlenker? I read that they put quite a bit of strain on the internals of your LH shifter :?: was thinking of buying one so I can run road STIs and matching road FM on my Surly

As above, just discovered the existence of the umlenker as I don't think suntour produced a top pull mech of xc pro quality, and this looks like an elegant solution to the problem, as opposed to a retrofit pulley system. What do people think of these devices?
