Kestrel Project Complete (bar the fine tune set up) 17lb.4oz

What fork would a Kestrel of come with originally? Mag 21? Was there a rigid option?

The heaviest part of my bike is the 200lb plus gorilla peddling so really not much point in me going the weight weeny route.

Good luck tho. The paint & stickers look a bit heavy !

Finding a light weight rigid fork is going to be a big problem. Modern rigid forks are to long and throw the head tube angle out but are very light 500 gram region.
A problem :?

You can get the superlight (475g) Trigon Carbon Fork (Same as the Ritchey WCS but a third of the price) which has a 41.5cm A to C measurement, shouldn't muck up the handling too much either.

I just ordered one for my Litespeed to take it down to around 16.9 Ibs (with a few other tweaks)

Makes a change to those bloody heavy Trimbles

Will you be using retro kit?

My usual 'pick an mix' of both. If i could move all the parts from my 21lb Trimble this Kestrel would be under 19lb.
But KCNC kit make some tasty bars, post that are ultra light. So 18lb?
