K2 TNC Comp frame - Info please

So I picked this up over the weekend excited to finally score a decent deal on what appears to be a nice fillet brazed frame. But. Can't find any info whatsoever about it. Any help you guys can give is awesome.

All the XT-M730 parts have a date code from late 1989 or early 1990, so I'm thinking its a 1990 model year? I'm pretty confident the parts are original to the frame, but I didn't know K2 was involved in the mtb business that early....

Lets hope the pics show up....

Hi Smokeinapancake,
this thread in a German classic mountainbike forum has a good overview on dates and specs of K2 models. I added some pictures of the TNC Comp along with a TNC Super Comp ...

Thank you @fietskrokodil, although I couldn't translate the writing, I found the pics of the Gilles Berthoud labeled frame very interesting. It looks exactly like my K2 frame. Gould it be a Gilles under that K2 labeling?

In the past couple of months we found several bikes that have been labeled with K2 decals, but are from different manufacturers. K2 was a very successful ski and snowboard company and I guess they wanted to participate in the mountainbike boom (e.g. like Scott).
I would assume they lined up the mass production K2 portfolio in Taiwan and in the interim sourced whatever they could get. So we have a Schauff, a Kona, a Tange Prestige one and why not a Gilles Berthoud. Or at least from the same framebuilder as the GB frameset.
I really like yours and am on the lookout for one in my size ...
