Just repainted and stickered a 1995 Kona Kilauea 19"

Bike was very rough when I got it last month. Looks fairly good for an automotive rattle can paint job. Wet sanded down to metal 80%, two coats primer, 2 coats pearl white, stickers, then three light coats clearcoat. Used Dupli-color lacquer. Waiting 48 hours and maybe will wax with a light compound before assembling?

Great result! 9 out f 10. I can still see orange peel though. Layer thickness of base coat (and clear coating) could have been thicker for even better results, a super mirror smooth surface and perfection.

Looks fantastic 😍

I'd wait a bit longer if you can bear it. I'm always very impatient wanting to assemble ASAP. I've regretted this decision more than once.

Not to a severe fault but would have rather just given a bit more cure time on some past resprays if I was to do it over....

I'd wait a few days to be safe personally
