Hi All, I'm pretty new to the group but have enjoyed lurking. I'm in Seattle and just picked up a 1997 Kona Kapu in very good condition. The serial number suggests it was actually manufactured in 1996. It has pretty much all Shimano 105, with Mavic CPX23 rims. It has the Columbus Genius tubing, Ritchey dropouts, the Bici Strada stickers. Unfortunately it's a bit small for me, so I will probably sell it on. It seems that it's a relatively little known bike but with a cultish following, and it certainly rides beautifully. I don't know if local Craigslist is the place, or whether this belongs on eBay. Any advice? Suggestions on pricing? I'll add some pictures here tonight, if I can master the technology.
Thanks in advance, LarryD
UPDATE: Sorry, so far I have a bit of trouble uploading. I'm happy to send photos directly via email. Bike is gray, quite clean. I measured the seat tube at 58cm and top tube at 55.5cm. Serial number H60 4919.
SECOND UPDATE: Alisdair informs me that this is a 1996 rather than the 1997.
Thanks, Larry
