Just bought this, forks goosed...what should I replace it with?

I've just bought this 1994 Saracen Maxtrax (yet to pick up)

I believe the fork is goosed.

What would be a good fork to replace it with?

I mean, it's basically got a rigid fork on it as it is 😅
A P2 fork would likely cost almost as much as you paid for the bike I guess, but you should be able to find a decent rigid fork (Spinner etc) for not much money.

I reckon those Forks will come apart with an Alan key, inside will be some powder where the elastomer were.
These are available in various sizes - clean it all up, reassemble and away you ride👍
Much cooler solution than a boring old p2😉
Much cheaper than a 5piece saracen fork🤣

Would I be right in thinking that these were re-badged tange struts? If so I have some nos lowers and internals if you fancy having a go at re-building them? It would be one less thing for me to put in the pass-the-parcel karma box……

First thought is not a P2 or an attempt to get this since ever not good performing Struts thing back to live but a proper segmented fork from Saracen as mentioned already.
