Just checking what dates the cut-off ?
I doubt if the fork is from that age. I really think it is from a later era.

This sort of uninformed comment is best kept out of the public domain because it unnecessarily denigrates an excellent bike. I have done a lot of research into Falcon San Remo bikes and this frame and fork in particular, which I have discussed with a frame builder of that era and there is no doubt in my mind that the fork is original. I am sufficiently impressed with this bike to have included it on my website of classic racing bikes: http://classiclightweights.net/
And if you scroll to the bottom of the page where this bike is shown, you will see an advertisement from that era that includes these words in the San Remo model description: "Italian-style sloping fork crown, all chrome-plated" - http://classiclightweights.net/united-kingdom/falcon/1963-falcon-san-remo-equipe/
I think this forum is a great place, but it is not helpful to express an uninformed opinion because of the risk that it will be accepted as fact. In this case, it might seriously devalue the bike if anyone were to believe it and I would expect the owner to be upset by it. Better to ask a question through a PM if you are not sure of something.
