Reynolds 700 series was only produced for a short time from 1982 to 1984. It was a concept tube set with 531 main tubes and 753 rear stays/fork in road tube sizes. The 3 main tubes made from 531 were NOT butted, but had 8 rifled splines running the full length (except seat tube where it was only partial).

Thanks , I had a poke around but could find out nothing . Everyday a school day .
Sounds a bit similar to 708 , plain gauge but rifled .

Reynolds 708 and 731 are my favorite tubesets. Stiff, strong and light.
A lot of people say similar things , in true me fashion they're the 2 notable ones I've not owned . There's time I suppose .:)
