Picked this up a couple of weeks back as it caught my eye on eBay. Like these old Serotta’s and they are fairly hard to find. I didn’t buy the frame with the forks, as in my eyes they do not suit the age and style of the frame.
For those who don’t know Serotta they were founded in 1972 in Saratoga, New York by Ben Serotta. They made high quality road bike and mountain bike frames in Steel, aluminium and Titanium. The company was sold in the late 80’s and then, later bought back by the Serotta family. In 1994 Serotta bought Fat chance cycles from Chris Chance and began making the various Fat Chance frames including the Yo Eddy at the Saratoga factory.
I’m aiming for period correct parts where possible. Rigid forks, XT m737 groupset with ritchey logic cranks.
