Which rather goes back to my first post in that it was not what Clarkson is alleged to have said but the fact Clarkson said something.
The hate then is on the person and not the alleged comment.
There is also another side to this, old old term erasure. Many of the sayings we used as children now wouldn't be said or have just gone out of fashion or even more age related, non relevant.
You cannot within a comparatively short time decide a word is offensive then tell people of a certain age " you must stop using that word you've known for 60 years right now!"
In this throw away society of I must have something right now and want it done right now, you are more likely to be told by more mature folk to feck off.
If the thread had had a more honest title such as " Clarkson and why I hate him " then I could have understood but to allege racism as a guise to justify hate seems plain silly.
Anyway, sorry for the additional post. I won't be posting on this thread further as it seems to have gone from informative discussions to individual attacks as always happens when a topic has run it's mileage.

No one has the energy to hate people they don't know. I certainly would enjoy a chin wag with him given the opportunity.
