:shock: hi are these the dyna drive crank/pedals?
the thing is, i know what some one here paid
for the bars alone..but
i really would like to know the cost of a g set such as this to help some one ponder
over a potential full on restoration.
may i be so bold as to ask by pm then i can pm him.

Are you having the frame re-painted ? If so I'd be tempted to have the seat tube bottle boss's filled, very odd seeing these on such a frame, even adding another Shimano aero bottle would look even odder

The blue hub bearing covers are made of a porous nylon plastic so the grease eventually soaks into the plastic and no matter how much scrubbing an cleaning you do, you'll never get them back to the original pale blue but there is a cheaper option and that is to thoroughly de-grease & clean them and then repaint them using Humbrol paints, Humbrol doesn't do the exact colour but being an avid model maker and a tin of very pale blue - white - very light grey I mixed a colour which was just about bang on.

You could of course find NOS covers which do pop up on ebay several times a year but the last set fetched £45 for some plastic caps
