It's mucky and dark out there

The joys of pre-retirement part time working mean I can get out when the weather is good, although the trails around here are so waterlogged it is daylight hours road riding only.

Daylight riding. Tis but a dream here! Yep, sticking the conti double fighters on my fisher for road and fire road duties, as the dirt here is deeply unlikely to recover this side of Xmas, barring some hard frosts. I've even resorted to doing some running to keep the engine from seizing up - does little for the soul mind.

I've asked for some decent lights from Santa, in an effort to overcome this winter grubby period. I overlooked the trail bogginess

What have you asked for? Always looking for decent lamps, given my almost exclusively nocturnal riding! Got a Halfords all in one/torch style 1600 lumen permanently mounted ATM, mainly because of faff of separate head and battery units. And because I normally can only afford cheap units with Russian roulette battery life and lifetimes... It's pretty good. Either that or I'm slow enough for it not to matter...

Perhaps I should have said decent compared to what I've got. If you're in the 1600 lumen territory then this might be of no use. I went for the Lezyne 800xl front and whichever the rear is that comes bundled with it. The output for the minimal weight seems really good, but yet to try it on a ride.
