It's mucky and dark out there

Saturday night was first foray for a couple of weeks. Definitely takes more to get out the door this time of year, but after 5min in the filth the grins begin!

And another 5 minutes the sh!ts set in from the sheep poo you’ve ingested from your manky bottle 🥵🥵🥵🥵

I actually find it a bit easier to get out in winter. Family life is a little bit less hectic and opportunities easier to come by.

Yep. And that's with the downpipe in the way. Third bottle cage bosses in front of BB could only have been dreamt up by Californians.

I only ever get to go out at night due to family life, which doesn't appear to be seasonal so far, so it's standard + getting sh!tty for me! Raises the doom factor going out the door and decontamination time coming back in.... The latter is a big factor, living in a very terraced, very lacking back/side entrance house.

It's really quite leafy right now too... Ploughing through drifts of the things the other night. Makes reading the trail, and finding roots a bit more lively.

Got to admit it’s a struggle this time of year getting out but once your out it’s not too bad. Still managing 100 miles a week but it’s getting harder but I truly hate the turbo trainer which is the alternative

I’ve found guards, warm gear , bright lights , overshoes are the key.

Yep, as said elsewhere would rather take my single speed folder out in a gale than sit on a turbo! So bloody overpopulated round by us that the trails get trashed within a day after any sort of rain, and people stay on them regardless, whether on foot, two wheels or horseflesh. All clay over chalk too, so doesn't need much of an invitation...
