IT'S ALL GONE BONKERS.....

Consumables - all show how supply-demand affects prices - Tyres, discs, pads, drive train all previously heavily discounted - tyres and chains particularly now eye watering but at RRP - if you can find them....

It'll be interesting how much discount from competition is lost now we can't, in reality, buy from the cheaper EU shops like Rose and BikeDiscounts etc

Probably never know as too much has happened at the same time to hide most of the effect of bunging up walls and barriers.

I bought a second hand modern road bike... no brake pads easily available. 😒These are the latest flat mount calipers too! Shimano disc pads are fetching more at auction on eBay than the rrp.

I bought an 11 speed chain from a bike chain store with click and collect service who actually don’t have it. They’re having to shift stock around so I can buy a bloody chain!

I've seen a local bike repair guy offering to buy some second hand components so he can complete repairs.

That IS bonkers. It’s got so bad re tyres that I decided to save the planet and get some serviceable rubber by scrubbing and scrubbing the dried sealant off three part worn 29inch tyres. That’s four hours of my life I won’t get back....

When an Ebay noob in Bolivia goes ahead and buys an 8 speed cassette to be posted from France, it's desperate. On a global scale.

I've posted NOS cassettes to Finland, Austria and Spain, but Bolivia forced me to cancel the order with a full refund.

I've also sold three NOS rear mechs to the same bike shop on three separate occasions.

Madness.

Addition: Anyone actually selling parts is also like a Dr Bike. So many noobs are having a go at fixing up there bikes.
