It's 1995 Brodie eXpresso

Re: It's 1995 Brodie eXpresso (RD and red details)

Thank you guys...wow it has been long time since I posted anything here. I'll correct this tomorrow.

The bike is only missing wheels ("only" :facepalm: ), cassette, chain and cables. Wheels will be on their way this month from Nikica, he has some nice things :)

I managed to aquire longer steerer for Judy's and now I need to set in the starnut; does anyone have any suggestions on how to do it at home with some homemade tools?

Well mate, the paint was done by local car painter. I guess all I needed to do is to learn swedish little better :)

Thank you! It is not as interesting as yours but I enjoy keeping it up ;)

Just read through the whole thread, great work on polishing those parts, bikes looking lovely so far, when can we see completion...?

Thank you! I think it looks good too :) Now it only needs wheels and I am hoping to have those by the begining of next month so completion is going to happen soon.

This is what I found in last few months so far (with additon of brakes which I don't think I have taken photo of);

The Flite is not in the best shape (to say the least) but it was cheap and color matches and I would not mind trying redoing it on my own some time in the future.

And last but not least - longer steerer for Judys;

Re: It's 1995 Brodie eXpresso (RD and red details)

Looks like I found this at just the right moment - late enough to read straight through all the great work so far, early enough for a bit of pre-completion excitement!

Love matched frame and shocks, just makes bikes look properly together for me :cool:

Re:

Yes, indeed! I love matched colors od shock and frame too. I was lucky that painter could matched RS yellow since it is bit tricky; it is kinda greenish but it came out spot on! It is Peugeot yellow :O

I was thinking of sharing some more pictures of the work that has been done on the bike. The wheels are last to come of the parts, but I don't think it will be just plug and play kind of deal.

Stay tuned ;)

Looking good - Update please? Where did you order the red anodised chaingring bolts from, and the rear mech pivot bolt -also in red?

This month I had my mother visiting so I saved all my free time to spend it with her and before that I had to move, so Brodie had to wait for his updates.

However, I will soon have final big piece for this build and that is the one I am really looking forward to so stay tuned.

Finally, I got some time to update this thread. Unfortunately my internet connection at this moment is horrible so I will only post pictures of the bike as I rode it yesterday.

I managed to clean and sort out brakes and STI units. They work flawlessly! Wheels are also in (Big thanks goes out to Mike)!

I can say it is done for now. I am very surprised how great it is to ride it! Though, there are few things I need to change on it; new QRs and few of the bolts that are rusty as well as better handlebar (and here I would like some suggestion as for what would go nice with it).

Here are just a few pics from the yesterdays ride as I cannot wait for more to upload:
