Superb, 3 pages! This thread is beating the real Klein thread. All we need is for it to get to 12 pages and be locked after a vicious decent into name calling. Come to think of it, this thread is working in reverse of a normal Klein thread by starting with the name-calling, but then it is a Klein thread discussion thread and anything is truly possible!

With apologies ... to accommodate one Klein sprayer may be regarded as a misfortune: to entertain two looks like carelessness.

However, I'm glad there is now a Klein paint discussion discussion thread. Apart from the drama of an online, high-noon paint-off, the best bit about Klein paint threads is their promotion of what we might call the minutiae of sameness.

Well - as Pete_Mcc pointed out, all this sterile masking is a tedious process to replicate something that was knocked out on a production line to a budget. So what are the Klein-NOScenti really after? Clearly not an original. No, the prize seems to be something other; something that if it were passed off as an original, would be found to be a fake -- but only because it was too good.

In the same way that art galleries spend hours and thousands trying to verify that a work is authentic, the goal of the modern Kleinist is to devote conspicuous resources in order to acquire something that looks like an original to the layman, but on closer inspection or understanding is disclosed as definitely not - it's too good!. The goal of the true Klein officianado is to own a genuine Not Klein.


Sadly, as a hopeless layman, I suspect that a proper Not Klein will be out of my reach for ever. But crumbs Mum, I want one!

First, i'm not native English, second, i just came from the pub, third, it's my bike in the other thread.

No! I'm not after a fake Klein, if they exist.., if i ever sell it i will tell its a repaint, if i still have to after this exposure..., i know that to the Klein-purist i'm a criminal, BUT i could buy this, badly repainted, Adroit, i wanted it and i want it to be painted in Backfire, just because i like it and i want it!

Martin want's to show what he's capable of, John agrees in this, so what's the point of this mudfight.....

I really don't know where all this anger come from, it looks like a lot of people are jealous because Klein's are still expensive, so are Yeti ARC or Specialized S-Works and i don't know what!

I think most of you guys are in there 30's or 40's, maybe even 50's...please behave like that ;)

But we are behaving like 30, 40 and 50 year olds. If we were acting like 20 years olds we'd all still be in the nightclub chasing pretty 20 year old girls rather than moaning on the internet. This is what people of our age do for shits and giggles - that's why the Internet was invented, that and porn.
