The HOTs i've seen with the flames have always looked cool, and appropriate. There was one in Aus up for sale here last year in green and purple...

The one in the 98 catalogue is purple with green flames, very nice, also a Ku here in purple yellow flames

Yep I like the 98 decals too and if the paint was a bit better I could maybe go that route. But it’s likely not good enough to satisfy my ocd as it has a few bits where it’s worn through the paint from rubbing shoes or cables.

My issue is that unless they super mint I loose interest and don’t love them as much as the others.

I’ve got a couple of other builds to finish first so it’ll likely be next year before I do much with it.

Yeah, I can very much relate to that. If something doesn't meet my standards or expectations I lose interest and pass It on. Not just bike stuff but everything. It honestly does my head in. I did break tradition recently though with a Bontrager I purchased a while back which came with an unadvertised dent. I managed to tell myself that it was part of it's history and an ideal bike to use.....of which I still haven't finished

It’s actually still for sale if you look at the sellers other items. I put in a low ball offer but then messaged the seller as it would just be silly and end up costing me a fortune to ship and resprayed etc

I got sent an offer for it by him. It’s quite cheap really but the shipping and import really adds money on. If I’d not bought mine I would of gambled on it as even after all the costs and fresh paint it would still be relatively “cheap”
