Bought my first MTBs in Evans Kingston, Rayment Cycles in Brighton and Mountain High in Rickmansworth......all still there I believe.

Where did you hang out as a spotty teenage mtb hopeful? Is that shop that let you bung up the workshop and drink tea and eat custard creams still there keeping the faith in the bike industry?

Is it still your LBS? Have you not escaped yet?

:?:

Paul has moved from his original workshop that I first shopped at back in 92ish, but he is still very much in business.

Top bloke

Sadly I cant say I visit that often now because he is in Norfolk and I am in Lincoln :(

But, my LBS up here is very much like Paul was BITD ;)

Richardson's in Huntingdon is still clinging on in there.

When I was 16, one of the employees, a certain Aidy Bright, ahem, threatened to throw me through the window for complaining that my mech hanger was bent on a new bike...

manic mountain bikes in winterton. they moved to scunthorpe after a while. i spent a fortune in there

Bicycle Chain, bridgwater. moved to bigger premises, and now really is a chain.

Had a few but my Tufftrax came from a bike shop in Skipton (can't remember the old name  ). It's changed hands a few times but is still there and now called 'The Bike Shop'.

Others were Stif, Airevalley Cycles and Dave Fergusons. All are still in business but have moved shops.

Yep

Bikes n' Boards in Devizes...brought my first skateboard in there as well back in probably '85 :D

Growing up in North Leeds I was torn between these two:

Where my Marin Team came from.

Where I used to dribble over the Pace frames and insist I had a good look at everything that was listed on the multiple page MBUK adverts.

Both still going although niether are as magical to me as they were in the mid-late 90's

When I was a teenager (not spotty, either ) the term "mountain bike" hadn't been invented. I was an up-and-coming bass player hanging out in music shops then  .

Twenty-odd years ago I used to frequent "Pedal Power Cycles" in Doolish quite a bit - they were my unofficial sponsors, in that I used to get big discounts on gear from them. I even bought their old van from them, now I come to think of it......

broadribbs cycles in Bicester,

Now online as Discount cycles, but shop is still there.

was upset as were a Pace Dealer, then stopped just when i had enough money to buy my first set of RC36 pros
