i have done this twice now, both times on an XT m739 mech, one time it was easy as pie, one bolt out,nothing moved and new bolt slipped straight through, second time it was a right bugger

If the spring and plate come off then you're doomed!

There's a bit of a trick to getting them back together if you take the spring and plate out, but once mastered its a relatively simple job.

That is with a lot of things
But with this one it absolute is. If you have no idea what you're doing: it is a shitty job.

Btw, you can put in a hollow bolt from a M952 derailleur or the titanium one from a M950, but it does not fit as perfect as the M900/M910.
