Is there one bike?

Okay hypothetically speaking now ;)

If you were given the option to give up all of your bikes for a single "dream bike" what would it be? Does it exist?

Pictures a necessity!

a dull answer but I'd keep my GT which I've had from new

I've got all my dream bikes except a Cunningham Racer which I would just not ride because A, I'd be too busy drooling over it and B, I'd be scared of dinging it.
So one bike only, it would have to be my black '87 Wicked 'Auld Faithful'. It does everything any of the others does but is just so friendly and comfortable. Its the smelly old black labrador of bikes (without the smell)

Love it!

Daft as it sounds but i'd give up my Timmis Dyna-tech and other bikes which I dearly love for an alpinestars ti-mega. It's pure stupidity as the Dyna-Tech is simply awesome and probably rides twice as well as ti-mega. But i just wouldn't be able to help myself if the right one came up. I'm an idiot for even thinking it!

Tough question. I don't think I could live with just one bike even if it was complete wish fulfilment.
I like having a few different bikes now, and it was always 'the dream' when I was younger to have a bit of a stable rather than just the one.

I would quite like an RC100 or a Xizang... or both.

I think we've done this before, but for me it could well be something custom, retro minimalist design in decent cromo (or Ti :O ) with zany creative 90's style paint job (or not if Ti) and theme. Discs, a bit of front suspension, fast and under 28lbs but tough enough for any adventure. maybe one of the UKs frame builders maybe up for this job. hmm

And yes I'd miss the retros. :-/

Yup... I think I'd just keep the white EWR. If given the choice to have only one bike, then wouldn't you keep one you already have? What's the point of having a few bikes rather than at least one that you really wanted in the first place? I think if you own multiple bikes then you sort of owe it to youself to make sure at least one of them is your A-list choice.

Not possible, what do you ride when its broken?

Just make sure your one bike list consists of a bike that won't break. Problem solved!
