old school cool
Dirt Disciple
Hi my names Gaz, I stumbled across this forum by complete accident but I am a lover of the old bikes, most I always wanted but could never afford at the time.
I'm on the look out for a couple and will post em up if I get my hands on em, Now I can own more than 1!!!
anyway here is my 1st, bought back in 97 (I think)
A specilized ground control fsr, which over the yrs I've tried to keep as up to date as possible but keeping the old frame. The swinger has been changed to BETD as has the linkage to allow for the hope M4 disc brakes and allow me to swap it to 6" of travel if req'd, it has bulb hubs, rockshox psylo's to match the rear end travel (plus I hated the original tripple clamps) and a few other subtle tweeks!
the second is a giant team atx circa 2000 ~2001
this one has original marzooci bombers, Xt group set, a few bits from raceface, a few easton ultra light parts and a lovely set of hope xc hubs mated to hope minis. I use this one for family rides with the missus and kids.
both are still used and loved!
