Imlach's Sweaty Hippie Funk Collection, adventure bikes, rusty rats, cruisers and other alt bastardisations of bicyclery

Car manufacturers and bicycles... Why do they always look for the ugliest bikes to put their brand name on?
Mercedes makes an effort. One could argue that this is not ugly.

And the AMG Petronas bike is pretty hawt, for carbon and a road bike ETBDgp_UYAAv1xb.jpg_large.jpg
But to your point, I think from a design sense, they want to differentiate themselves from a "plain" bicycle company. Also striving to convey futuristic technology, not a repeat of a hundred year old design

Okay, that fully is kinda okay, they are sometimes for sale here but it seems they are not that much wanted.

The unusual design usually works, but not in a positive sense. But hardly anyone rides the bikes anyway. The ones that are sold here usually look like new.
