That Raleigh factory was about 200 km from where I live. They closed it about a decade ago, I think. There's one they made there which I've been wanting patiently for. Raleigh Serengeti, Tange infinity tubing. I missed out on one a few years ago because I couldn't believe what I was seeing was real

I have bought secondhand Brooks but i found you need to be careful or they are a torture instrument.
I did buy one that had seen a lot of wear and so it wasn't really ever able to accommodate my shape, tightening it up wouldn't lessen the dips. So you're probably right, best to go for relatively new looking ones/low milage.
