And to celebrate surviving..

A broken neck (which i didn't know i had for a few days)
A heart attack ( which i don't remember having)
A quad bypass op' ( which I do remember!)
25 years of marriage and a teenage daughter.. its time to treat myself..

So in addition to the Aston, the IWC and the pair of Purdy's the wife better be getting me i'm after either..

A Pace frame or bike: not sure of the model but the one with the rectangular down tube.

or any carbon fibre frame or bike.

I've always lusted over the above and I guess if i dont get one soon I never will so anyone got anything interesting..

(I'm just under 6ft, 33inch inside leg for the frame size)

Pace RC200 I would guess is what you mean. There's a few about at the moment. You just missed John's.

you're probably right, but the ones I've seen are all polished AL.

The frames I remember from the 80's were sort of a pewter colour i think.

Hi Martin,

Been there, done that!!

Broken spine, 1998, now screwed together.
Heart attack, 2001
Bypass 2001
Diabetes - ongoing.

Married 33 years this year.

My 27 year old daughter got married last year:)

I'm 56, still fit, and still cycling, and life is still grand!!

Good luck with your search, and have an happy Birthday :D :D

That'll be the RC100, from the Ron Kit catalogue, with XC pro, maguras, bullseye cranks and bright yellow forks. Come up infrequently but you never know..

Congratulations on your good taste. I'd say infrequently = very infrequently :(
There was a darker colour than this as well I'm sure - almost a smoked finish rather than a Pewter.

Remember seeing the square tube Pace bikes being shown on a feature on BBC's 'Look North' local news programme when they first came out. They were really radical then (still are in some ways) and were the bike to have in the early 90's.

rc200s come up fairly frequently, lots of polished, but also green (very rare), red, pewter, smoky blue/grey justbackdated has shown a smattering of bright blue with red splatters.

As already mentioned there is a nice red team issue one on fleabay at the moment. The £60 frame is NOT a pace just in case you were tempted.

Rc100s were grey or black, with strange deviant trials versions in flouro yellow

The only difficulty is if you are a true short a4se - they did a 16 inch compact and a 16 normal. Dont see many compacts, 16 are harder to get hold of too.
