If you started from scratch again...

88 Pace rc100
94 Pace rc200cf3
92 kona explosif
Roberts dogsbolx
92 dynatech quantum or decade or both.... haha

And only one box of spares

This list would probably turn back into what's in the workshop now hahahahaha
That's a really interesting way of looking at it.

If I had to replace what I have, with just what I enjoy and ride the most (assuming I could find them again):

83 Guerciotti SL
92 Breezer Lightning XTR
90 Kuwahara Leopard
94 Zaskar LE

I have built some more over the winter which have not been ridden much so they'd be excluded, for now...

I don’t think I’d bother ….
This resonates with me a lot - particularly looking at how my collection has morphed over the years to more modern bikes.

If this did happen I would hope that I would be more focused and wait for the one or two bikes that are really meaningful to me (like a good condition Brodie) rather than pick up a bunch of scabby mid-level frames because they were affordable and scratched a certain itch.

I have not been keeping up to date on these postings.
During the winter/spring time, I purge my extra parts I aquire during the year. Do other members do that?
I like starting fresh every year.

I like to think if I were to do it all again, I’d end up with a pretty similar ‘fleet’;

The Pioneer was something I had been looking for almost since joining the site - it’s local and awesome afterall. Same goes for the Andy Powell road bike.

Both Konas are in their own ways there to replace the ‘95 midnight blue Lava Dome which was my original impetus for joining the site, they fulfil very different uses though. Still haven’t found that replacement mind, though perhaps now I wouldn’t even bother looking…

The Rocky Mountain came from a friend, has a history and fits into my niche Canada-centric interests.

Other bikes have come and gone. I’ve learned from them all. What I like, will actually use etc. Most of all that buying just to strip, although it can occasionally be lucrative, is not good for the soul.
