right - dynatech frame. serial starts with a C (i believe these were year-coded)

main tubes paint seems original - the lugs seem like rattlecan. main tubes are nice and "pingy" and the frame doesnt seem too porky. there are nice touches like a chain hook on the rear stay. it has a monostay design. main tubes magnetted.

i saw a nice frame with black main tubes, this style of decals and silver lugs - cant remember which model it is though

thanks in advance dynatech fans - i'll be painting her when the weather gets nicer. i reckon silver main tubes with really dark green lugs/tail end.

parts build didnt really give much away, was later STX-RC/LX derailleurs. M730 cranks, 987 cantis. parallax front hub and "apple core" rear, so anywhere from late 80's up to 1998 or so

captain conclusion-jumping comes to town

i checked around the forum and the C series serials were 1992. assuming the M730 cranks fitted are original (the tapers would say yes) the XT-specced model for that year was the odyssey.

unless anyone has any strong cases to the otherwise.... i think i maye have snagged myself a 2070 series frame :D

the whole frame as requested.

considering how gate-like it looked in the pics i was surprised to find it's roughly an 18in centre-top, with a shorter top-tube than my lava dome.

the head tube is as tall as the kona's headtube, headset, stem and 10mm spacer though

as i posted earlier it looks like a 2060 frame, and seeing as it seems like the original decals, then can only be a Dyna-tech Mission frame.

still the best £31 I've seen spent on a bike in a while - what condition were the mag-21s in?

The 2060 and 2070 frames used the same lugs so its nigh on impossible to tell which one it is without referring to frame number or decals. Sit them side by side with no decals in the same colours and you can't tell the difference.

Keith, the 'Mission', was a 2070 frameset, not 2060.

Your only recourse I would imagine would be to send the serial number to Raleigh and see if they know? Again, this poses a problem as they had the hologram sticker with the serial number on which again is missing on yours, I can't rmember if the holo-number matched the frame number on the bb shell or not though?
